Our 2024-2025 Robot
Named after the Greek goddess of the sea, Amphitrite was built with an undying passion to dominate the FIRST Tech Challenge scene and secured the team’s three-peat to the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Houston, Texas.
At the start of the 2024-2025 season, three members of Project Peacock were recruited to take on the goBILDA Robot in 3 Days challenge after the season’s game was showcased to the world. In the span of three days, Hope, Jaxon, and Andrew built a league-winning kit robot that is now showcased on goBILDA’s official website.
However, the team later decided that they should build another robot. A completely different beast. They designed, programmed, and printed for hours, days, and weeks in secret until they unveiled Amphitrite before their league’s qualifying tournament. Donned with parts made of steel and 3D printed filament, this tank secured the team’s spot for the Oklahoma State Championships.
After some incredibly close matches at State, the robot won the State Championship, securing the team’s spot to go to the World Championships in Houston. A later upgrade to Amphitrite replaced its steel plates with carbon fiber.
The team and robots performed extremely well during the season. Project Peacock also received invitations to some exclusive FTC events such as the Chicago Robotics Invitational and the Michiana Premier Event.
